I think it's unacceptable that the delivery time changes substantially after you have placed a firm order. Do they at least let you cancel the order at no cost if your quoted 6-month delivery time at the time of order suddenly becomes 12 months like 1 month before delivery?

Yes. They allow you to cancel your order. The dealer will be happy to keep your order, await delivery of it and list for above MRSP.

Unfortunately, the E46 has a history of rear suspension failures (expanding mounting-dome sheetmetal fractures)-especially regarding those cars fitted with staggered rubber.

The problem is ever since Mercedes introduce the fix pricing model in the Australia market, the price has increased by 15% to 20%.

The C 200 is now around $89k AUD on the road, the C 300 is at $103 AUD on road. For comparison, the previous W205 C 200 cost about $65k to $75k drive away, and the C 300 was about $85k drive away.

I sat in one today and was going to write a small update. The interior finish and fit is way ahead of the W205 reminds me of a more solid Mercedes no creaks on the dash or the doors and so on..

It’s a very pleasant looking interior .

the part which is weak is the lower parts are hard plastic same as the IX. My own view is it’s not as cheap as low quality as A class but the plastic the hard plastic hidden or which they try hide is all at the bottom and it’s a step back on the lower plastic in the W205.

Overall the Interior is very nice I love the nee seats. The MBUX works very well while I was playing around. Way better then the one in my moms GLC.

Display quality is amazing.

Design overall a lovely looking car.

I didn’t drive it as no demos to drive somehow. The general car I love besides the poor plastic below.

Looks and design and fit was ahead of the W205 has they just used same plastic as W205 in lower part this would be a winner.

They haven't increase their prices yet to match, but are watching the sales results very closely. At this stage, the new C class is $20k more expensive than the equivalent Audi and BMW.

It is incredible how the new E 350 with the 4 cylinder petrol hybrid cost the same as the E 450.......

The GLB 250 is now with in $5k AUD of the Porsche Macan.

The GLC 200 was about $70k AUD drive away, now it is $104k AUD drive away, which puts it in direct pricing with the Porsche Macan,

Also back 2 years ago we can buy the GLC 43 for the price of the GLC 200.

Wow the prices Down Under are hefty i mean its way over the BMW 3 as you say which is crazy. Unless its very generously specced.

Just got my c300e T-modell postponed.
Delivery was set to April 1st.
Delayed due to software error regarding batteries.
Same messages too multiple customers.

Sorry you mean your got your car or is it delayed and what software problem ?
