Pictures? Of an ordinary C200 in an MB showroom? How old are you, kid?

So you never sat in one and just made it all up and now you are throwing a hissy fit because somebody didn't buy your bullshit.

@fortuner

The owner of grey C300 with red seats posted a first impressions video, but it's in Portuguese, I'm afraid. :icon_redf

Mercedes doesn’t care about the C at this time lol.

The situation is fluid across manufacturers. No matter who you order from, you could be informed of a 3-4 months delay at any point - sometimes within just mere weeks before delivery. Worst case, you are informed that your build slot no longer exists and that you are now at the back of the queue.

Furthermore, manufacturers currently prioritise high value models because they bring in greater revenue and higher volumes. Most importantly an S550 is a tech fest and needs considerably more semi conductors than an entry level C-Class.
I think it's unacceptable that the delivery time changes substantially after you have placed a firm order. Do they at least let you cancel the order at no cost if your quoted 6-month delivery time at the time of order suddenly becomes 12 months like 1 month before delivery?

Pictures or didn't happen.

The whole point is that pictures do not show the supposed lack of quality. And you have already littered this thread with pics. This is not even a pic thread, and we all know what the car looks like by now.

Beautiful looking little car outside and in, however the overall quality impression is crap. Absolutely rubbish hard scratchy plastic covers the glovebox, lower door cards and transmission tunnel. A major step back from the current C and more like an econovan. They did a better job hiding the cheapness in the A/CLA. With a 10-15% price increase over the current generation, I'm glad we wont be replacing the W205 with a 206. No amount of design flair can hide how poor the finish of lower parts of the interior are.

Would have to agree i'm afraid. Anything below the shoulders are of hard, cheap and nasty plastic. Based on just this alone, it's a step backwards from the W205. Makes me wonder where else they've cut costs.

The Brazilian owner in the video I posted seemed to be impressed with the quality of the car. But then again, you guys are gonna say that he's easily impressed because he's Brazilian.

Depends on what you compare it to.

If it's against the G20 3 Series and W205, then it's behind; if it's against an A Klasse sedan or CLA then it's on par; if it's against Golf 8 then it's better.

If you don't believe us then why don't you just go and see the car for yourself.

After having taken a somewhat closer look at the W206 last summer, I concluded that it's "okay". Nothing extraordinary offered. It will appeal to M-B fans. But it's probably questionable whether it will lure BMW G20/21 or B9 Audi A4 owners into the process of actually ordering a W206. Personally, I would see no compelling argument to choose the C-Class over its' German competitors. Or, for that matter, a Tesla 3, Polestar 2 or KIA EV6.

I find hilarious that Klier has a problem with me posting pictures of the W206 on a topic dedicated to the W206. ?

Of course you can cancel at no cost if there's a delay. In fact, my dealer would LOVE me to cancel my order for the C-Class, as he would suddenly have a build slot available at relatively short notice to another customer, and without giving the strong discount I negotiated.

That's literally what I did, big fella.
