A set of pics where I am accepting of the front. I just don't love it.

Images of the G70/71 are at their most palatable when captured from an upward angle. This really "trims" the car, making it appear far more svelte and less corpulent. The towering, wall cabinet characteristics are successfully veiled.

The standard bumper looks so much better…

It’s defenitely not beutiful, a Taycan, E-Tron GT or Lucid are beautiful.
This thing is ugly, but in a good way hahah, like the E65 which is still my fav?

Are you comparing apples with oranges, the Taycan and the E-tron, they have nothing to do here, stop comparing them in terms of design, or do we also bring up a Superfast?

I don't think there is something "ugly" in a good way, you are only giving said word a broader spectrum than it has, you can look for other terms according to your opinion because if you like the E65 it is because you know what it is good for and its intrinsic meaning

... the Taycan and the E-tron, they have nothing to do here.

I can't elaborate pertaining to other countries. But here in Germany, the federal bureau of motor vehicles (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt KBA) lists the Taycan, eTron GT, BMW 7/i7 series, Audi A8, Porsche Panamera, M-B S-Class/EQS, Tesla S, Lucid Air, etc... as automobiles that are or will be statistically categorized as Oberklasse vehicles.

I understand that, but I mean that the competitor of those cars is the 8 series GC, the categorization that you indicate is very broad and more oriented to price, speaking of design you know that they do not have much to do with it.

Btw who says the Lucid is particularly pretty? It's spectacular without a doubt but I don't know if pretty is the word

You can relax dude and read with understanding the quoted post from @Jacke

He means the prettiest EV, so that’s I reffered to in my reply. Point.

And yes, the G70 is cool and very bold looking, yet striking and bloody ugly for many, as the E65 which I really appreciate and like both in their weirdness.

The 8 GC it’s a matter of taste, IMO the old really beautiful F13 6 Series smashes it.

Nope i didnt say that the I7 is the prettiest,i said that the front looks like the one in the most beautiful EV and thats a Taycan if you couldnt figure it out by now,

Gee guys all i have seen in the last 2 days on this thread is this bitter throw of words and insults at each other. What is this forum coming too?
The only worthwhile post has been the great video that @Centurion posted.

Back to the 7-series. There is a large selection of colours but this car is probably one of the most colour and spec sensitive cars on the market. I personally don't think it looks good in white, red and two tone. The darker blacks and greys suit it better and give the front alot of presence, but oxide grey and copper grey also looks good on the i7.

I mostly like the interior except perhaps for the cheap crystal look light band on the dash and door panels. The seats look really comfortable and I like it in white leather, tan brown, red/burgundy and chocolate brown. I love the new M-Sport steering wheel the bottom metallic spoke with the small cut outs looks fantastic.

I wish the 7 had the choice of non porous woods such an walnut veneer or aluminium metallic trims. The carbon trim is probably the best but I wish BMW had added the wood trim to the doors as I feel the door panels look a bit plain. Even the leather on the doors is not pleated and the shiny black piano plastic used on the window switch trim panel looks cheap. There are some Toyota models with shiny black piano plastic used for window switch trim (aka Toyota Fortuner) so it shouldn't be added on a $100K luxury saloon.
