LFG ! Been waiting for these ! Guess the NK design language does not carry over ? The bev ix7 m70 and i7 100 alpina are going to be beasts. Also an Alpina 40 xdrive is appealing.

• Regular models (G67) will include X7 40 xDrive, 40d xDrive, M60 xDrive, iX7 50 xDrive, 60 xDrive, M70 xDrive

I can see some visual aspects of Neue-Klasse which becomes signature exterior design language for the present. The Surface work, broadened wheel arches. The rear light bar with recessed BMW roundel. The Status of X7 means a kinship with the i7/7. Their upcoming LCI may even offer a preview.

I think they will separate X7 interior & exterior big from X5. Like 7 and 5 Series.

7 series now is separated from other bimmers like it's half way to RR. Maybe they will also do the same for X7.

Anything is better than current X3 but I read on the other site that X5/S7 would push hard for high luxury, whatever that means.

Since this car is going to have huge vertical grille, what will happen with the iX7? It is silly having huge fake grilles on EVs IMO…

I imagine probably like iX and i7. Closer to the solid ribbed design of the i7 incorporating all the radar sensors concentrated on the front grille.

The i7 and X7 are part of the Bayerische Motoren Werke GKL Grand-Klasse Luxury brand.
The literature for SkyTop promotes this branding too.
The 8 now seems like an afterthought.

Yes, the most elegant solution would be to remove the grille like Volvo has done with its EV cars, but the BMW grille is part of it’s identity, besides the fact that many of their customers wants a big show-off grille.

Grilles are becoming a status symbol when everything turns EV and none have an actual grille. I sort of get the X7 having a grille. Cause it means big ICE engines, which is what the rich want.

The i3 and i8 had the earliest solution using the kidney grille outline on the front end immediately identifying as a BMW.
Although that new Grille design launched with the F70 with the vertical and diagonal bars will probably be offered on some non-M variants.

I was hoping the BEV version would have the NK design grill similar to the next gen x3 and x5
