Read the first 4 pages of comments on the MB instagram page where they shared some images and didn't see one positive word. Top comment was sack the designer uh oh

Absolutely not relevant what Instragram Kids say, the only important thing is what the future customers expect (market research!)

That black space in the steering wheel should be carbon fiber or one of the darker wood finishes, to match the rest of the interior when spec'd that way. Now if they interior is light colored wood then it can stay as it is. That's the best I got lol.

Erm,....but they are the buyers of tomorrow, potential future customers if they like what they see. If it didn't matter, why try to build up such a huge social media presence? If it looks nice these "instagram kids" would be wanting one and talking about it and sharing the pictures. Look at the existing E class model posts and see how different the reaction, it's a good indicator of public acceptance, even world leaders social media feeds are quite balanced with negative and positive......i've just read 7 pages of negative comments about it here too. Plenty of future customers here too I'm sure. I have the current model and I won't be getting one after seeing this. Not even a troll, never had anything other than Mercedes. Ironically, I think where the market research has gone a little wrong - by reacting to their social media and trying to appeal to younger people, when they should have stuck more with existing customers. They are now stuck in no mans land between some cracking concepts and traditional elegant design. How many middle aged people mess about with online surveys Mercedes send out to their customers? They have been over run with social media influencers cosying up with Wagener and accountants with a photocopier. The same reason everyone mocked Audi years ago for stretchig their vehicles and adding a bigger number on it...you'd at least expect to see some positive comments somewhere other than "wow, I like one of the two steering wheels?"
It is relevant that the "instagram kids" that aren't (*are potential*) "future customers" are calling it "A giant A class"....It will be a sales flop, just like the latest CLS. Ironically the model that put me off having a 3rd CLS and switch to an E......

i think its the standart headlights just like C or the facelifted GLC, but it looks much better cause it reduces the bulkiness of the headlamps & makes it looks sharp. It amazes me how inner graphic of the headlights can drastically change the whole face.

Base headlights. LED's but base, very similar to the base C and GLC headlights.

Although I'm not a big fan of this new interpretation of the classic grill the FL E class does look great in this spec. The chrome trim strips surrounding exhaust outlet look much nicer than Mercedes previous styling attempts with it's fake exhausts.

The E53 looks really menacing with the new grill and large air intakes. Engine has a fantastic sound in this video

Cars with LED headlights all look the same at night now anyways.

Headlight design across the industry isn’t nearly the design emphasis/signature it used to be in the 2000’s-2015.

Back when the E class had its unique character compared to other Benz models... Body lines clearly evoked solidity and real presence (y)

Anyone knows why Mercedes is making all classes look similar? Next gen S and C will apparently have The same front and back as this new w213 FL based on the spy pics.

Wagoner has said it in interviews himself, the market has responded very well to the ''Horizontal Affinity'' shown across the model range.

And the 2 door models??

Edit: 2 door models and the AMG 63 at NYC next month I’m betting.
