German Autobild wanted to see what sportcars you can buy for 10000 Euro (around 14.500 dollar).
This is what they found. Which of these cars are your choice?

BMW Z3 2.8i Coupé

Audi TT 1.8T

Nissan 200 SX

Fiat Coupé 2.0 20V

Toyota Celica 1.8 TS

Alfa Romeo 3.0 GTV

Hyundai Coupé 2.7 V6

Mitsubishi 3000 GT

Jaguar XK8

I'd like to choose the XK8, but it's way too cheap to be any good, which means that I'll go with the Z3.

Jaguar XK8 would be my choise, but i think that 10k is very few for such cars...

:t-cheers:

Audi:D I would have gone for the Z3 but with the engine size and the price of fuel and insurance these days...I'd take the Audi plus it look better and a much nicer interior:usa7uh:

I'm averaging 24.7 mpg right now driving normally which is really not that conservative at all. When I took a trip (all highway) I averaged 35.8 mpg... so these engines are pretty dang good on fuel if you ask me.

The Tiburon is also a good choice. Dirt cheap car, but actually really fun to drive when i tried it out! Probably very reliable. Honestly, I would have gone for the Xk8 as it easily the best looking car here, but I'm pretty surprised you can find one in good shape for that money. And even if it is, I'm sure it is pretty high maintenance. But I'd still pick it anyway since I've become a DIY kind of guy :)

Actually I just looked it up because I was curious and there's no way in hell you can get that Jag for 14.5k in my area... there were a few that were 18k but were pretty high mileage. The rest were going for E46 M3 prices and it makes me laugh to think I'd even pick the Jag over the M3.

However for that money you can prob get:

Think I'd rather have that M3 or an E36 GT evo M3:D

Some times i feel sick when I see Audi fans choosing a car over another just because the Audi has a better interior design/quality ! my God as If they gonna live inside it !

My choice would be the silvia ... great potential for tuning and it has the famous RB series

All True Maserati ...but I could never be passionate about such a bland car.

Well given the above list, I think it sounds a better deal .. the rest are either good looking and lagging in the power/driver pleasure or Simply has nothing good to offer. Am not a fan of the silvia but I think it is the most rewarding from that punch.

Yeh, the XK8 is probably not in prime condition, nevertheless I'd take it over all the others here. :D

thats a boring list of cars to choose from. If I really had to, would probably be the Z3.

If I had it my way, I would probably get a hatch, maybe a golf MK4 GTi-R or a Mini Cooper?

I would definitely go with the BMW Z3 Coupé 2.8i ! Absolutely classy car - great design and stunning engine. But most of the Z3 Coupé cost more then 10.000 €!!
