Not a big fan of that vertical trim application on the leading edge of the front doors. Is a delete possible ?

But otherwise, I like Range Rovers.

There is an option to black out the silver trim which includes the doors. So dark color and tick that choice.

I wish.

M
Then I wish nothing less than that for you. I think you’d be very happy in one.

And if you can’t stretch to a full fat RR but a Sport is within reach, I don’t think you’d be disappointed with that either.
Posh friends wife’s just got a new 6 cyl diesel in top spec. Gosh, it drives rather nicely and does look a bit better in the flesh than in pics.

Agree , I love black on the sport. I need a new family car in a year. Already excited to choose between gle facelift, cayenne s, rr, Escalade or maybe even go with a sedan like an s 580. Issue is that the facelift may not be out by then. Was putting my name down for the m5 touring but decided a dedicated sports car on the side is a better route.

New ultra version with
  • World-first electrostatic audio system pairs with a haptic floor.
And ultra fabric ( an different wording for faux leather) interior and rattan palm veneer.

For that price point I’d rather have real leather tbh.

The new Range is EVERYWHERE in the metro NYC area (mostly P400s). I'm a bit surprised they outdid the L405 so quickly, which had a solid run last decade.

Now that reality has set and that you get one at MSRP or under - has anyone experienced the P530 S68 4.4L V8 and can vouch? The N63/S63 line of BMW V8 just wont seem to die anytime soon. I've had two 6er GC's with N6TU/S63 that were nightmares after some time and caused me to offload them. Now that they've made there way to the RR, the combination seems to be a long term nightmare waiting to happen. Or am I mistaken?

I had 2 L405 5.0's, which were great to own (I guess I left them before the advertised issues that the internet has made an agenda).

I’ve driven a D350 and a P400 and compared to the L405 they were underwhelming.

The UI with touch everything was simply annoying, the cars felt surprisingly sporty like a Velar on steroids.

But they’re not as floaty or supple as before.

That’s why I canceled my order and bought a GLS Maybach instead which drives much better.

I’d also prefer a Bentayga to the Range Rover, because it’s comfier and sportier at the same time.

That highlights my primary concern that's it's become more a posh fashion accessory rather than a rugged when necessary SUV. Clean and beautiful design nonetheless in this day in age where most SUVs are the opposite.

Agree, the UI for the Pivi(?) infotainment is a bit odd in terms of intuitiveness and houses too much of the essential functions.

I agree, I think this is even worse compared to the predecessor.

Btw it has AFAIK an on demand 4x4 drivetrain, that’s another difference to the predecessor which always drove in 4x4 mode.

The design is indeed gorgeous, but a few years ago the list of available colors was really limited.

There was no proper dark blue available and PTS was at current exchange rates almost 45k$ If I remember correctly.

Btw you clearly feel that the bean counters had the upper hand.

The car didn’t feel as polished as the predecessor, I felt vibrations on rough roads I couldn’t feel on the old one. The sun visors had leather Alcantara on the old one, the new has leather and cloth from the velar, even with the leather headliner.

If you spend 300k on a SV you clearly expect more than that.

I’ve decided to keep my 8 yr old P400e, even If has an odd drivetrain.

It’s absolutely reliable so far.

You can only buy one by invitation.
