What is the definitive manufacturer for the most used taxi in the UK? (Not the typical London Black Cab)
i'd have said Mercedes Vito, they stand out more. VW transporters too, then as for saloons, anything goes! Lots of new Skoda saloons about, nothing stands out in particular, used E classes and 5 series, not like years ago when in Stuttgart and everything was a cream E class!

at least one spy photo of the interior for now nothing to do, what is sure is that it will be a mix of class c and s with a fairly large central screen, no one knows sncora on which console it will be placed

Very much doubt that will happen.....
A 6 cylinder sure, but with RWD? I don't think so....
I doubt it too, less options as possible seems to be motto nowadays. Can only hope they start with a 350d RWD option, like they did with the W213. Truly hate that 4Maticitis.

CLE has nothing to do with GT and CLS. They are produced in different factories. It will replace the E and C series 2 doors. These models are produced in the Bremen factory. CLE will be produced in this factory.

What are you hearing about engines for the CLE?

I'm expecting a middle of the road S and C as far as looks are concerned.

ICE only will render it near obsolete from day one. A big ass ICE sedan? It's also the end for the E class as a taxi. Taxis are transforming to crossover/SUV BEV, and not diesel sedans.....and I doubt the EQE will become one, even though it meets the criteria on paper.

A shame. MB should reconsider and create EV versions of the C class, E class and S class just like what BMW does and what they themselves do with the upcoming EQG!

Taxis are a becoming a thing of the past. Everybody just wants to ride in a Uber, because it's cheaper than a taxi fare.

And the best cars for Uber (and Lyft for that matter) are not BEVs, but sedans like Civic, Elantra, Sentra and Corolla.

Why do you think BEV are non plus ultra? They are still quite sh!tty and people who need a car on day to day basis, don’t even consider one. BEV are transitionary at most.
It’s a very wise decision to bring the W214 as an ICE, not only because of it’s typical traditional buyers.
Really, I don’t understand why you’re advocating BEV so much.
